Dr. Elizabeth Stavros

Dr. Elizabeth Stavros, ND graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Canada, where she completed a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (ND). She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Ottawa. As a Clinical Intern in both general medicine and adjunctive cancer care at CCNM, Elizabeth focused her training and research on women’s health issues and naturopathic oncology.

Julie Mancuso

Julie is a registered holistic nutritionist trained by the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. She has worked as a nutritionist in Toronto and the GTA for well over a decade. Health, wellness and nutrition are a way of life for Julie. Entering the profession after some harrowing health problems of her own, Julie discovered that nutrition is the key to feeling well. With her new vocation in tow, Julie has devoted her practice to helping others find solutions to their nagging health ailments.

Virginia Florentin

Virginia is a physician from the Philippines with a background in Preventive and Community Medicine. She was an academician for more than 15 years. She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at TSTCM. She is now a Registered Acupuncturist and an active member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). She has worked with several Acupuncture clinics and is a member of the Faculty as well as an Instructor of TSTCM.

Coaches

Alex

Alex is a Registered Kinesiologist and Member of the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario and Certified Exercise Physiologist with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP-CEP).  In addition, Alex has a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and Health Science and over 10 years’ experience.   Alex’s background includes sport specific strength and conditioning as well as working both with athletes and post-rehabilitation clients for a return to sports or general physical activity. He has conducted high-performance fitness testing with the NHL Entry Draft and Ontario firefighters. Alex is an advocate for the benefits of physical activity for healthy aging, improving function and quality of life. Alex is an outdoor athlete and enjoys skiing and cycling as well as martial arts.

Marc

Marc is a certified member of the Fédération des kinésiologues du Québec with a B.Sc. in Exercise Science and a M.Sc. in Physical Activity.  Marc has specialized his studies with a focus on clinical exercise physiology.  In addition to his education, Marc has worked in a clinical setting, conducting fitness evaluations and developing exercise programs to assist people in controlling hypertension, diabetes and obesity for over 15 years.  As a long distance athlete, Marc has completed multiple long distance events including an ultra-marathon and Ironman and is certified as a Running Technique Specialist through the POSE method.

Mauro

Mauro has a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and is a Registered Kinesiologist and Member of the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. He is a Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP-CPT), is a National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 3 Certified Coach and a Precision Nutrition Level 2 Certified Coach.  Mauro has over 8 years’ experience prescribing exercise in order to facilitate athletic or general physical activity following medical discharge from chiropractic and physical therapy.  In addition, Mauro has experience applying behaviour change and lifestyle management to achieve weight loss goals. Mauro played soccer for a number of years at the provincial level, enjoys functional strength training, and is an avid cyclist.

Maude

Maude has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Kinesiology.  In addition, Maude is a certified Pilates instructor, a Nutrition and Weight Loss Specialist through Can-Fit Pro in addition to holding a certification in Motivational Interviewing.  With over  9 years’ experience in the field, Maude has worked with a range of populations in health and wellness including women with gestational diabetes (pre-natal), children’s fitness and rehabilitation for athletic and general physical performance.  Maude is a former swimming athlete who now enjoys running and resistance training.
